The Prime Minister's Fellowship Award recipient for 2015 from Samoa is Mrs Fiti Leung Wai, owner and Managing Director of Samoa Stationery and Books Store. She has led from the front in the successful establishment of her business in Samoa which has expanded to two megastores one in the main Island Upolu and another in Savaii. Mrs Leung Wai is a lawyer by profession and is married to Mr Aumua Ming Leung Wai, Samoa's Attorney General. Mrs Leung Wai will be in New Zealand from 16-22 May 2015 for the programme which has been arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She will be visiting a few businesses in Auckland and will travel to Wellington on Wednesday 20th May 2015 to meet with the Right Honourable John Key at Parliament House. His Excellency Leasi Papalii Scanlan and Mrs Joyce Scanlan will host a reception dinner for Mrs Fiti Leung Wai at their Residence on the same day. The annual is given to a leader or potential leader from either the public or private sector. These could include Members of Parliament, and people from academia, business, and other sectors. The recipient will make a visit to New Zealand to look at aspects of New Zealand life particularly relevant to the New Zealand-Samoa relationship which is underpinned in the Treaty Of Friendship. Last year's recipient of the award was the President of Women In Business Mrs Sheree Stehlin. This is the tenth year of the programme since its establishment in 2005.
