Farewell for the Ambassador of Chile

On Monday, 13 July 2020, the Diplomatic Corps farewelled the Ambassador of Chile (HE Rodrigo Espinosa) as he approaches the end of his tour of duty. The Samoa High Commissioner and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps (HE Leasi Papali’i Scanlan) delivered a brief farewell speech for Ambassador Espinosa while Mrs Gail Brown (spouse of the Ambassador of the United States) presented His Excellency with a gift, on behalf of the Diplomatic Corps. Ambassador Espinosa has been accredited to New Zealand since 19 April 2017 and plans to retire upon returning to Chile.
