The ‘Wellington Samoa Golf Academy Incorporated’ (WSGAI) was established in 2013, under the umbrella of the Samoa High Commission through the vision of H.E Leasi Papali’i Tommy Scanlan, High Commissioner and Chair of the Academy for the purpose of teaching and promoting the game of golf to the children and youth of Samoan descent as part of the Samoa High Commission’s community work to our people and youth in Wellington, New Zealand.
The children earmarked for this program are from the ages of 4 to 17 years old with the key intention that they grow up to become professional golf players in the future and represent our country of Samoa in international tournaments.
