40th Anniversary of Bilateral Relations between Chile and Samoa

In celebration of the two countries 40 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations on the 24th August 1978, an informal reception co-hosted by the Ambassador of Chile, H.E Mr Rodrigo Espinosa and the Samoa High Commissioner, H.E Mr Leasi Papali’i T Scanlan was held on the 24th August 2018 at the Chilean Ambassador’s residence in Belmont Lower Hutt, Wellington.
The program commenced with the exchange of remarks firstly from the Chilean Ambassador then followed by the High Commissioner of Samoa. Both outlining the great, warm cordial relationship between the two countries and ways to further strengthen this partnership.
At the conclusion of the event, the distinguished guests had the opportunity to taste the traditional delicacies from both Chile and Samoa prepared courtesy of the two Diplomatic Missions in Wellington.
